Many of our clients are referred to our office by their pastor. Thus, Michele James and Associates seek to provide communication between therapist and pastor, when there has been signed, informed consent by the client. Respecting each person's faith journey is a vital part of therapy at Michele James and Associates. Providing a safe place to address faith-based questions and struggles allows a forum for growth, healing, and change to take place.

The need for friendship and community is a theme that often arises in therapy. When appropriate, with the client's written consent, Michele seeks to work with the pastor to facilitate support outside of the therapy office. Small group involvement, mentoring programs, and DivorceCare, are examples of opportunities for spiritual growth and connection in the church community.
