Ways I May Be of Help for Lawyers

Individual Therapy

Many clients need extra support during the separation process. When there are signs of stress, anxiety,
depression, or low self-worth, working with a Registered Psychotherapist can help. I work with clients to reduce stress and improve their overall mental health. An emotionally healthy client is better able to participate in difficult conversations, make good decisions for themselves and their families, and successfully and more quickly resolve issues in dispute.

Couple/Individual Therapy for the Indecisive Client

Deciding whether or not to separate can be overwhelming. I help clients sort through this difficult decision so that they can feel confident in their chosen direction. The clarity gained from this process results in firmer decision making, greater confidence, and reduced stress.

Co-Parent Coaching

Assisting separated parents identify their child(ren)’s strengths and needs helps them transition into their new role as co-parents. I support parents through these profound changes and help them create a parenting model that allows for consistency between the two homes where kids feel supported and loved, and where every family member thrives.

Family Therapy

I strive to provide a safe environment where difficult conversations can unfold. Sometimes it is helpful for the entire family to meet for one session or more to talk about the changes and transitions happening in their family.

Parenting Plans

I bring 19+ years of successfully working with individuals, couples, and families in a therapeutic context to my mediation work. My focus is helping parents create a new story for their family as they move from one home to two—emphasizing the needs of their children as a top priority in the process.

Consultation

Do you have a difficult client or case? I can provide a different perspective that moves away from labels and judgment toward compassion and understanding. Using a respectful approach, I provide lawyers with practical techniques to work effectively with challenging clients.

Personal Therapy/Coaching

Lawyers and other divorce professionals are often impacted by the same things their clients face—marital disconnect, separation, divorce, stress, depression, anxiety, burn out, etc. Being proactive and getting support when it’s necessary is vital to personal and relational wellness. I would be honoured to be a support to you in your professional and personal life.
